MERCY & JUSTICE  MINISTRY 

Thank you all who’ve been steadfast in praying alongside us for God to empower us to leave a spiritual legacy that lasts. As we look at our city we know that there is much work still to be done!

Last year, by God’s grace, we were able to launch our mercy ministry to care for the needs of those in our congregation who are in crisis or find themselves in challenging circumstances. This ministry offers assistance in assessing people’s needs and working together to find solutions. This year we hope to not only to grow this ministry internally, but also take steps toward expanding outside the walls of our church and into the city to care for those in crisis there. 

We are not looking to start another program, but rather asking God to continue to mobilize us as ministers of His mercy, and care for the needs of the city. Right now our Community Groups regularly serve various parts of the city and we are praying that God would extend our reach in 2019. 

Matthew 6:1-4

Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Will you join us in praying that…

• God would continue to provide us with the resources to care for those in crisis and need in our congregation. 

• God would extend our reach to care for whose in need outside the walls of our church. 

• We would serve our city to glorify God, not seek the approval of man. 

• Many people who have yet to meet Jesus would begin to live lives of devotion to Him.
