40 Days OF PRAYER: HEALING AND STRENGTH

The Lord has done great things in our midst over the past year, and we long to see Him do more. So, as a church we’ve been counting down the new year by spending the last 40 days of 2018 in prayer.

As we think in terms of legacy, lineage, and future we’re aware of many people in our church (or their extended family) fighting sickness, disease, addiction and infertility. During this season we want to come together as a church and ask God to do far more abundantly than we can ask or imagine by healing and strengthening the faith of many in our congregation.

If Jesus can heal our eternal sickness and disease; namely, saving us from our sin, then we are confident He can heal our temporary sickness, disease, hurts, pains, and addictions. As we pray, it is important for us to remember who we are speaking to and what He has promised to do.

Isaiah 40: 28-31

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. 29He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. 30Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Join us in boldly praying that God would…

  • Heal those who are battling life threatening disease, who’ve been battling lingering aliments, and who are sick.

  • Deliver those enslaved by sin.

  • Comfort the hurting and wounded. Especially those who have loved ones who are suffering from sickness and disease.

  • Give wisdom to the doctors and family in the decisions they have to make.

  • Grant faith to those who know God can heal but doubt that He will.

  • Give power to the weak and increase the strength of the weary.

And may we as a church wait on the Lord night and day as He renews our strength!
